When Public Markets Partner with Public Radio
To coincide with the NPR/Public Radio Super Regional meetings in New Orleans November 13-14, 2012, we release our Case Study that examines the relationship between New Orleans public radio station WWNO and public market — the Crescent City Farmers Market.
The Crescent City Farmers Market, run by nonprofit organization Market Umbrella, has cultivated a relationship with public radio stations, such as WWNO in New Orleans, to the mutual benefit of both institutions. After all both public markets and public radio share a commitment to the public good. In order to fulfill this commitment, how can these two institutions best collaborate. Learn from our experiences to cultivate regional audiences around food, broadcasting and public goals in our 2012 Case Study, Public Markets Partner with Public Radio: Making the most of the connections between public radio and public markets.
