Fresh & Local2012 was a great year for Market Umbrella and its flagship project, the Crescent City Farmers Market. We reached over 140,000 shoppers and had a combined economic impact of $11.9 million on our farmers market vendors, market host neighborhoods and surrounding region. Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialIt’s Purloo’s last week under the Green Plate Special tent and they are going out on top with this week’s menu! Choose from Pulled smoked pork shoulder poor boys with “quick pickle” slaw, summer chilled grilled corn gazpacho, kale salad with creole tomatoes, red and white cabbage, shaved red onion and peanut vinaigrette. Finish your meal with a minted watermelon soda with sugar cane syrup. Next month we welcome La Cocinita food truck! |
