What’s new at CCFM? | |
Fresh & LocalFall means lots of new faces and old friends at market! Tuesday we welcomed Bee Good Honey to our Uptown Square market with sweet local honey, Thursday we are looking forward to the addition of Nola Pie Guy to our mid-city market, and we know everyone is anxiously awaiting the return of citrus to all three markets! Stop by our markets and see what is new and exciting at each of them. Fall in love all over again with CCFM this October. |
Pick of the Week: Apples!Apple season will be winding down soon, so get your fill while you can. Cherry Creek Orchard has three delicious varieties for you to take home-Arkansas Black, Granny Smith, and Pink Lady, each with their own taste and crunch. Apples are perfect for pies, snacks, juicing, even roasted with some pork. Did you know that apples are part of the Rose family or that they help regulate blood sugar? They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, so come stock up before they are gone till next season! Cherry Creek Orchard can be found most weeks at all three markets. |
Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialWoody is back again this week with more delicious tacos and sides. Last week we heard rave reviews about the gator sausage tacos and can’t wait to see what he has this week. Want to catch Woody and his crew while not at market? Follow them on facebook and see where they will be popping up! |
Recipe of the WeekWhat do New Orleanians do with apples (now in season and available at the CCFM... but not for much longer!)? We make Apple Beignets, of course. And we add a little Old New Orleans dark rum to the batter. |
