Pick of the Week: Carrots!Baby, it’s cold outside...which is perfect for growing beautiful, sweet carrots. These orange (and yellow and red and purple!) root veggies are great in stews, roasted with a chicken, sliced in a salad, or made into a healthy slaw. Carrots are nutritional powerhouses with beta-carotene, vitamin A, fiber, potassium, and so much more. Market is full of different varieties and colors! |
Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialMarket is closed both December 24 and 31, so this is the last Tuesday for Casa Borrega. We have been continually excited by their traditional-with-a-twist Mexican dishes and warm service (the hot chocolate on these cold market days has been a lifesaver!).
