Fresh & LocalEarth Day 2014 is tomorrow, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off this global celebration than with our own Tuesday farmers market! Once a year, the observance of Earth Day reminds us all to be mindful of the impact our daily lives have on the planet, and inspires change in our daily habits. We here at CCFM do our best to keep this spirit going all year round by promoting our local food economy and the farmers and fishing families that sustain it. Not only is supporting local food great for our local economy, but less food miles means it’s great for the Earth too! So come on out and bring a friend this Tuesday. Let’s make some groceries in celebration of Earth Day 2014! |

Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialDomenica’s lunch menus have been pleasing both shoppers and staff alike this month. We’re expecting this week’s fare will do the same: Benton bacon and fried Progress Farms eggs on a Ryals Goat Cheddar biscuit, or pickled root vegetable and Ryals goat cheese salad. For dessert try a tasty bruschetta with Ryals Labneh, strawberries and honey, or chocolate custard & cake. Be sure to come on out and grab some lunch with us! |
