New partnerships make eating locally no challenge at CCFM!

We are excited to announce that Market Umbrella has partnered with the French Market Corporation to create a year-round weekly farmers market in the French Market featuring local growers and products. In the coming months we’ll be engaging the community to see what products are needed and wanted, putting a call out for prospective vendors, and working with nearby businesses on ways to incorporate local products in their offerings. This market, slated to begin in October, will bring fresh local food to the French Quarter and allow us to expand our programs and offerings. Pick of the Week: Eat Local Challenge!

June is just days away, and with it comes the 4th annual Eat Local Challenge! To celebrate, this Saturday we’ll be having a fun-filled kick-off event at market, filled with vendor demos, live music from the Swamp Lillies, and market fun for the whole family! Come get stocked up for the month with the wonderful farmers, fishers, and food producers at the Crescent City Farmers Market as we ready ourselves for the delicious and exciting month to come. We’ve had a great time with Empanada Intifdada this month as our GPS vendors. And while we’re sad to see them go after this Tuesday, we’re very excited to have Maurepas out for the month of June!
