Pick of the Week: Chicken!Summertime has us thinking about getting out and doing some grilling. One of our favorite meats for grilling is chicken! Whether coated with a nice honey glaze, or paired with some fresh summer veggies on a kabob, chicken’s not only tasty, but it’s packed with protein so it brings health benefits too! Pasture raised chicken is not only more flavorful, but it’s packed with more nutrients than those conventionally raised, making market the best place to pick up your next bird! You can get frozen cuts or whole chickens at both our Thursday market from Bartlett Farms, or Saturday market from Justin Pitts. |
Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialMaurepas pleased shoppers and farmers alike last week with their delicious selection of market fresh fare. We can’t wait to see what they’ll be preparing for us this week! |
Recipe of the WeekWith so many blueberries at market right now, we’re always thinking of another way to enjoy them. Try this Basic Blueberry Pie recipe for a sweet blue treat. Feeling ambitious? Trying using Nate ‘NOLA Pie Guy’ Winner’s pie dough recipe and make your own crust! |
