With blueberry season in full swing, the Crescent City Farmers Market will be showcasing everyone’s favorite summer berry with a variety of blueberry themed foods, drinks, and activities all week long, Blueberry Jam! Come out on Saturday to learn how to preserve the taste of summer with tips and tricks from our own Locally Preserved while kids enjoy blueberry themed fun under the Marketeers tent. Both the Tuesday and Saturday markets will be rockin’ with live music. So remember to swing by the market this week and join us as we celebrate this nutritious and equally delicious berry!

Chilton County Peaches!

Yes, the time we’ve all been waiting for is here; peaches are back at market! Our Chilton County Peach vendors, the Durham Family, are back and at all three markets with their juicy plums, nectarines, and of course, peaches. Not only are they juicy, and we mean JUICY, but peaches contain a lengthy list of essential vitamins including vitamins A, B, and C, serving as great boosts for your immune system. So get creative and try incorporating them into all your summer dishes, from refreshing fruit smoothies to summer salads. You can even try grilling some up and pairing with frozen yogurt for a healthy summer treat or putting some on your pizza with a balsamic glaze! But at the end of the day, there’s nothing better than biting into a juicy peach all on it’s own, so come by any of our three markets this week to pick up your own basket!

Maurepas has been on a roll with their delicious lunch offerings! Between their sandwiches, salads and in-house baked deserts, they’ve got a little something to please palates of all types. Not only is their food tasty, but much of it is sourced right from the market! Does it get any better?
