Fresh & LocalAfter such a mild July, we were having doubts about whether or not the real heat was ever going to come. But, it’s official folks, it’s hot out there. Now especially, it’s important that we’re all remembering to stay hydrated when out and about. Be sure to bring a reusable cup with you to market and fill up on some complementary filtered ice water at the welcome tent when you come visit us at any of our three markets. We also have fresh squeezed juice and fruit popsicles via Amanda’s Paleta’s at all three markets, and iced coffee and tea under the welcome tent as well if you’re looking for other refreshments. So don’t fear the heat, and we’ll see you at market! |

Pick of the Week: Curry leaves!We were excited to see that Vintage Garden Farms has fresh curry leaves on their market tables. This interesting and delicious leaf, also called Kadi Patta, is used in many Indian and Thai dishes and adds flavor and depth to mealtime. Curry leaves are also extremely nutritious, being high in iron and folic acid as well as proven liver protectors, blood sugar controllers, and stomach soothers.
