Fresh & LocalThe time has finally come; our Moonlight Market is this weekend and we can’t wait! As you all know by now, not only will there be food from some of our favorite market supporting restaurant and drinks from some great local brewers, distillers and purveyors, but there will also be live music from the The Levee Toppers and a silent auction as well! The silent auction is something we’re particularly very excited about, with prizes ranging from a week stay in Watercolor, FL to dinner for 8 prepared by Chef Alex Harrell of Sylvain, to a month of unlimited yoga classes at Reyn Studio, among many more exciting prize packages up for bid. If you support the work we do, we’d love to see you out to celebrate, eat and drink with us this Saturday night. Who knows, you may even walk away a winner! Pick of the Week: Citrus is Here!That’s right folks, citrus has finally arrived, and not a moment too soon with this week looking like the last one for apples. While you may have seen citrus starting to come into grocery stores around town a couple weeks ago, our growers have been patiently awaiting for their crops to ripen to bring only the sweetest fruit to market shoppers. We’re so excited to have Star Nursery joining us at all three markets this week with their delicious satusmas, and to have L’Hoste Citrus come in next week with their organic citrus crops. Be sure to come say hello and grab a bag of this fall’s first market citrus! |
Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialWe’re so glad to have La Cocinita back to market this month as our Green Plate Special vendors for the month of October! You’ve probably seen this red food tuck around town, or at our Thursday market where you can find them most weeks, dishing up fresh, gourmet Latin American cuisine. From tacos to arepas, you can expect to find La Cocinita dishing up authentic Latin Ameircan dishes all month long at our Tuesday market from 9-1pm. Be sure to come on out and grab a plate! |
