Community Supported Fisheries with CCFM | February 9, 2015 |
Fresh & LocalMardi Gras is here and in full swing, which means Lent is just around the corner. We can already smell those wonderful Friday fish fries and seafood boils that signify the arrival of this time of the year. This Lenten season make a commitment to supporting local fishing families by signing up for a Community Supported Fisheries subscription at market. Subscriptions are available with Pete and Clara’s Seafood (pick-up available at Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday markets) and Four Winds Seafood (pick-up available at Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday markets). A $100 subscription reserves 6 weekly shares (feeds two adults) of fresh local seafood, starting February 18th. To sign up, visit Clara Gerica of Pete and Clara’s Seafood or Kay Brandhurst of Four Winds Seafood at market. For more information, click here or check out our Crescent City Support Fisheries Facebook page, and be sure to sign up soon! |
