Happy Mardi Gras from CCFM! | February 16, 2015

Fresh & Local

It’s Carnival Time y’all! We’ll be closed this Tuesday for Mardi Gras Day festivities, but will be back to business as usual at our Wednesday market in the French Market with all the fresh veggies you’ll need to start that Ash Wednesday detox. And we’ll have seafood too for all those going meatless starting Friday. We wish all of you and yours a Mardi Gras filled with fun, family, and fresh local food!

Crawfish season is starting to creep up on us, just as citrus season is winding down. Perfect time to try out this Crawfish Pasta with a Blood Orange Sauce recipe courtesy of Chef Steve McHugh of the John Besh Restaurant Group. It’s not only tasty, but a beautiful dish as well!
