For the past three years, we’ve been working with DCSNO to curb the effects diabetes has on so many here in the New Orleans area. Through our Farmers Market Prescription Program, we work with doctors at DSCNO clinics to prescribe fresh fruits and vegetables to families who need them most. This program gives patients who are diabetic or pre-diabetic access to fresh healthy foods and puts money in the hands of small farming families at the Crescent City Farmers Market.
