Thanks for your support in the decade since Katrina |
Fresh & LocalFriends, This week across the city, New Orleanians are struggling with an anniversary fraught with both despair and renewal. For the months leading up to this week, many news outlets, organizations and individuals have been thinking of the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. We have too. Our minds hark back to the first Tuesday market that reopened in November 2005. (You can view it here. I promise it has a happy ending). As Christine Monica is heard asking one of our founders, Richard McCarthy III, in the video, “Did you ever think you would see us again?” Thank you for coming to see us again and again as a member of our market community. We are grateful you are here and look forward to many more markets together. Please stop by our flagship location at Magazine and Girod this Saturday, August 29 to have a cup of cold-brewed iced CDM coffee or Luzianne iced tea on us and enjoy your usual community of fellow market shoppers and vendors. We are here for you. |
Fondly, |
