Mirlitons and field tomatoes are still at market! | January 18, 2016 |
Fresh & LocalThe weather has been taking us for a loop. Rain is a blessing and a curse, overcast days come and go, but right now our farmers are wondering when the freeze is coming! Until then, you may still see some unlikely harvests that can’t be found in most parts of the country. We still have mirlitons and field tomatoes at a few of our markets, and we’re proud of it! It’s never too late (or early?) to make one last batch of mirliton dressing or stew some creoles. But fear not, once the weather drops, we’ll still have plenty of hardy produce to keep you going. |
