Fresh & LocalThe weather and market produce seem to indicate that Spring has arrived. Healthy rains bring gargantuan strawberries, longer days mean flourishing crops, and blooming flowers promise tons of honey. Those of you sad to see winter crops go, have no fear! We’ve still got plenty of greens and other cold-hardy crops. Our farmers markets are looking like paradise right now so join us in welcoming Spring with a basket full of mother nature’s finest! |

Pick of the Week: BINGO!Today we’re hanging with our friends at the Kingsley House to play a farmers-market-inspired game of bingo. We’ll be swapping recipes and doing some stretching exercises with the seniors of Kingsley House between games, so feel free to stop by at 10:30am. Or if you’re interested in volunteering at our next event, contact our Market Manager Wil Crary. We’re always looking for fun ways to educate members of our community and we’re always happy to have helping hands. |
Tuesday’s Green Plate SpecialLahpet is back at market! They’ve got traditional flavors of Burma, including a fermented tea leaf salad, homemade curries, and other Burmese treats. Be sure to check them out each weekday for lunch at Milkfish as well. We’re happy to have the great food and great people of Lahpet join us each Tuesday of March. |
