Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.

Baby T-Rex
Baby T Rex Farms is a small urban farming operation rooted in building healthy soil. Since 2017, they’ve transformed a large backyard in Mid-City New Orleans into a thriving urban farm, growing more than 80 varieties of plants each year, primarily flowers, while also caring for chickens and bees. Baby T Rex Farms grows without chemical inputs, instead relying on organic amendments and high-quality, on-site compost to support plant health. Their approach is grounded in the belief that healthy soil produces resilient plants naturally better equipped to withstand pests and disease.
Working directly with New Orleans chefs to grow for specific menus, Baby T Rex Farms offers produce, herbs, honey, and flowers to the community. They’ll be back at the Tuesday market in the new year; until then visit babytrexfarms.com to place orders for delivery.
