Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.

Eligibility
Approved non-profit organizations must have a mission and outreach objective that aligns with our mission to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region and benefits our customer base.
Market Umbrella prioritizes organizations whose work falls into the categories below:
- Food Access
- Healthy Eating/Health Neighborhood/Community Organizations
- Local Green Infrastructure/Environmental Concerns
In addition, we prioritize organizations that provide disaster-related resources after our area experiences major weather events.
All third-party vendors in our market space are required to submit proof of liability insurance.
Application Process Overview
Key Expectations and Requirements
Organizations have non-profit status
Organizations are limited to two tabling opportunities per month across all markets. Depending on demand, the frequency may change.
Organizations must submit an application at least seven days prior to the requested tabling date.
Organizations are required to provide their own equipment (tables, chairs, tents, and lights).
Organizations must arrive at least 1 hour before the market begins and stay the entire length of the market.
Organizations are required to provide a copy of their certificate of insurance.
Organizations must adhere to our Vendor Code of Conduct.
Refrain from soliciting cash donations (in-kind donation collection at markets is permitted) or selling items (see below for additional information if you plan to sell items at markets).

What Happens Next
Market Umbrella Staff will contact you within two business days of completing the application with additional questions and/or to let you know if your request has been accepted or declined.
If you plan on selling approved products, a nonrefundable $20 vendor fee will be required for each market date. Please note that items being sold must be approved by Market Umbrella staff prior to the tabling date. Additionally, organizations will be required to provide additional documentation and participate in the Token Economy.
After your application has been approved, Market Umbrella Staff will contact you with the next steps to complete additional documentation and confirm your tabling dates.
Applicants who are asked to join the market will not be guaranteed a date or location; however, CCFM will take all requests into consideration.

You will need to review and acknowledge that you have received and read the rules and regulations for guest vendors.

The Crescent City Farmers Market operates weekly year-round throughout New Orleans. The CCFM hosts 70+ local small farmers, fishers, and food producers, and more than 150,000 shoppers annually.
